Ipiranga House is a Victorian house built in 1884 by José Tavares Guerra. The interior of the house retains details of the original decoration with French chandeliers, mirrors, Belgian glass and Carrara marble fireplaces, accounting luxury and pomp with which he lived the high society of Petrópolis in the late nineteenth century. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens designed by landscape architect and botanist Auguste Glaziou. The house also known as "The House of the Seven errors" has a restaurant. Note in Spanish: La Casa de Ipiranga es un inmueble victoriano construido en 1884 por José Tavares Guerra. El interior de la casa conserva detalles de la decoración original con lámparas francesas, espejos de cristal belga y chimeneas de mármol de Carrara, que dan cuenta del lujo y la pompa con la que vivía la alta sociedad de Petrópolis a finales del siglo XIX.
