G, 1st Ohio Infantry Regiment, who was wounded on September 19, 1863, at Chickamauga, Georgia, and died of his wounds on December 30, 1863, at Cincinnati, Ohio, to his brother about sending letters and how they haven't been received due to the blockade, his location, finding a sick woman with children and helping them, being on duty, and the daily fighting that has been occurring. Includes envelope.</abstract>
