The owner of the Oil Drum Mfg. Co. gets a corporation charter and permit to sell shares, works with an investment banker to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and eventually sees the corporation obtain NYSE listing. The film both emphasizes how common stock investments have helped the United States become prosperous and powerful and reminds John Q.
