During the interview, Vorasarn speaks about enlisting in the Royal Lao Army in 1960, spending four years on the eastern front lines in GM 14 Military Region 3 (Savannakhet province), serving as company commander of the 8th infantry battalion, interpreting for the United States military branches, joining a Special Guerrilla Unit, training, combat, serving as assistant intelligence chief in the Royal Lao Army Supreme Headquarters, and acting as a liaison with United States Army and Air Force attachés in the combined operations office. He also speaks about receiving intelligence training at Fort Holabird, creating intelligence reports, training in Laos and Thailand, interpreting at the US Pacific Army Intelligence School (USAPACINTS) at Fort Buckner, the 22 February 1973 Peace Accords, the third coalition government, the Lao Revolution of 1975, Lao student protests, surviving eleven years in the re-education camp in Viengxay, being a refugee in Thailand, emigrating to the United States, and his efforts in seeking rights and recognition from the United States government for his wartime service.
