Wikipedia, August 3, 2016 (Tom Buk-Swienty (born July 19, 1966 in Eutin) is a Danish historian, journalist and author, known for his work on the Second Schleswig War; raised in Sønderborg, Denmark; holds degrees in history and American Studies from the University of Copenhagen and the University of California. During 1994-2005, he served as the American correspondent for the Danish periodical Weekendavisen and also as a lecturer at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense until 2010. He is now an independent author and since 2014 has been an adjunct professor in history at University of Southern Denmark)
