Found inNUCMC data from Arkansas History Commission for His Letter, 1846 Jan. 20 (Thomas S. Drew. Thomas S. Drew was born in Tennessee, Aug. 25, 1802. He moved to Arkansas Territory in 1817, settling in Clark County, where he served as county clerk from 1823 to 1825. He later moved to Lawrence County, and served as a delegate to the Arkansas Constitutional Convention in 1836. He was elected governor in 1844 and 1848. He resigned before the end of his second term and moved to Lampasas County, Tex., where he remained until his death in 1879.)
