(Garabagskoe khanstvo = Гарабагское ханство) p. preceding colophon (Qarabağ xanlığı) t.p. verso (one of 20 independent khanates of Azerbaijan, the Garabag khanate existed from 1747-1822 and was extenstive in size, influence and role. It's two Khans--Panakhali-khan (1747-1763) and his son, Ibrahimkhalil-khan (1763-1906) [sic]--were outstanding leaders and diplomats who conducted relations with Russia, the Ottoman Empire, and Iran and influenced the history of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus in the latter half of the 18th century-beginning of the 19th century)
