Found inLibrary of Congress Manuscript Division for the Lester Hood Woolsey papers, 1831-1958 (Jane Anderson; Foster Anderson; Jane Anderson de Cienfuegos; The Georgia Peach; born as Foster Anderson on Jan. 6, 1888, in Atlanta, Ga.; died May 5, 1972, in Madrid, Spain; writer; journalist; war correspondent for the London Daily Mail during WWI; in 1922, correspondent for the International News Service and Hearst Newspapers; in Oct. 1934 she married a Spanish nobleman in Seville, Count Eduardo Alvarez de Cienfuegos, and settled in Spain; wrote under the name Jane Anderson de Cienfuegos; covered Spanish Civil War for the London Daily Mail; captured as Fascist spy; release secured in 1936 by U.S. Sec. of State Cordell Hull; American broadcaster of Nazi propaganda until March 6, 1942, for the German State Radio's U.S.A. Zone under the name "The Georgia Peach"; U.S. charged her with treason in 1943 but in 1947 the charges were dropped)
