Nair; Paramesh Krishnan Nair (6 April 1933-4 March 2016); Indian film archivist and film scholar; founder and director of the National Film Archive of India (NFAI) in 1964; born and brought up in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala; he graduated in science from the University of Kerala in 1953. Soon afterwards, he went to Bombay to pursue a career in filmmaking. After his retirement, he lived in Pune; died on March 4, 2016 at Sahyadri Nursing Home in Pune)
