NB Publishers, Nov. 28, 2013 Authors (Sir James Percy FitzPatrick was born in King William's Town in 1862, but went to school in England. He returned to South Africa in 1884 and became a transport driver and prospector in the Eastern Transvaal. Two years later he became editor of the Baberton Herald and when the First Boer War broke out he went to Johannesburg to work in the goldmines. Later he travelled a lot overseas and in South Africa and wrote extensively about these experiences. He died in 1931)
