Wikipedia, German, January 31, 2019 (Heinz-Josef Stammel; Heinz-Josef Stammel (born January 1, 1926 in Cologne; died January 22, 1990 in Alpirsbach) was a German press photographer, journalist and author; he was one of the most famous Western authors of the decades after the Second World War; Stammel wrote, mainly under his pseudonym Robert Ullman, between 1956 and 1966 about 120 Western novels; as early as 1965 Stammel began publishing a series of so-called Authentic Western, which initially appeared as hardcover under the pseudonym Christopher S. Hagen in Herder Verlag, and later also as paperbacks (now under Stammel) reprinted by Rowohlt)
