Wikipedia, vía WWW, May. 18, 2016 (Vicente Lombardo Toledano (Teziutlán, Puebla, 16 de julio de 1894 - Ciudad de México, 16 de noviembre de 1968) was a Mexican trade unionist, politician and philosopher; his higher studies were carried out in the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria. He graduated as a lawyer from the Escuela Nacional de Jurisprudencia, He later obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He was Secretary General of the Confederación de Trabajadores de México (CTM) (1936-1940), of the Confederación de Trabajadores de América Latina (CTAL), and Vice-president of the World Federation of Trade Unions; In his political performance he was: Member of the Congress of the Union for the Labour Party on three occasions,In the academic field, he was director of the Nacional Preparatoria and founder of the Universidad Obrera de México.
