In 1954 the name was changed to Akademie für Sozialhygiene, Arbeitshygiene und Ärztliche Fortbildung [no publs. in LC data base]. In 1961 this body split into Deutsche Akademie für Ärztliche Fortbildung, and Deutsches Zentralinstitut für Arbeitsmedizin. In 1972? the name of Deutsche Akademie für Ärztliche Fortbildung was changed to Akademie für Ärztliche Fortbildung der DDR.
