Wikipedia, November 1, 2022 (Teresa de la Parra; born in Paris October 5, 1889, the daughter of Rafael Parra Hernáiz, Venezuelan ambassador in Berlin, and Isabel Sanojo de Parra; spent part of her childhood at her father's hacienda Tazón; after her father's death, she and her sisters were taken by their mother to study at the Sacred Heart School in Godella, Spain; she returned to Caracas at age 19; then settled in Paris; her fantastic stories were published in the newspaper El Universal; began to research a biography of Simón Bolivar, but was diagnosed with tuberculosis; wandered in sanatoriums, mainly in Switzerland and Spain, but did not find a cure; met Cuban poet and anthropologist Lydia Cabrera, who played an important role in her life during her last years; died in Madrid, April 23, 1936)
