He was 89. He co-founded his own production company, Raybert, which evolved into an influential but short-lived company called BBS. Mr. Rafelson co-wrote "Five Easy Pieces" with Carole Eastman. Robert Jay Rafelson was born in Manhattan on Feb. 21, 1933)
