Biography/History noteIn December 2015, Dow Chemical Company and E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company agreed to merge; effective on 31 August 2017, they (along with their subsidiaries) became subsidiaries of new holding company, DowDuPont, Inc., formed in 2015; their businesses were realigned into three subgroups: agriculture, materials science and specialty products; Dow Inc. and Corteva Inc., were formed in 2018 as subsidiaries of DowDupont Inc.; on 1 April 2019, DowDupont completed the separation of its materials science business and Dow Inc. was spun-off as the direct parent company of The Dow Chemical Company and its subsidiaries; on 31 May 2019, DowDuPont transferred E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company ("EID") to Corteva, Inc.; on 1 June 2019, the separation of the agriculture business was completed and Corteva, Inc. was spun-off; on 1 June 2019, DowDuPont Inc. changed its registered name to DuPont de Nemours, Inc.
