He would not graduate from the College of Communications until 2009. From 1959-1963 he served as the tennis coach at Brandeis University, where one of his players was Abbie Hoffman, class of 1959. Afterward, Hoffman became a political and social activist. At the time of his death in 2016, the 1959 team was the only undefeated tennis team in Brandeis history ; sports columnist, TV commentator)
