Editor of "De Joodse Wachter," author of stories, novels, and dramas. Deported to Bergen-Belsen in mid-January 1944 where he wrote his diary that was originally published in 1950 and translated and published in English in 1997. His was one of the few diaries of a Holocaust victim or survior that was written in a concentration camp and not in a ghetto or in hiding.)
