He was enrolled at the University of Heidelberg on September 5th, 1510 and studied together with Philipp Melanchthon, Martin Bucer, Johannes Brenz and Johann Schwebel. After completing his studies, he remained as a teacher of dialectics at the Faculty of Arts in Heidelberg and was promoted to dean in 1517 and head of the College of Arts in 1520. On October 31, 1522, the council of Nördlingen offered him a contract as a pastor for ten years. (...)
