Moreno González, M.G. Aproximación al Partido Comunista en Jalisco (1926-1981), 2016: p. 87 (the PSUM was founded in Nov. 1981, through the merger of four movements and political parties: the MAUS, the PPM, the Movimiento de Acción Popular (MAP) [no publications in LC database], and the PCM, the most important; the history of the PCM, as such, did not end in 1981; the decision to dissolve it and form the PSUM was not supported by all its activists, with the result that a group of cells did not recognize the Comité Central's decision and declared the dissolution of the party null; to date it is common to encounter communications of these sympathizers through the official organ of the PCM (La voz de México), which continued to be published and which in 2006 changed its name to Resurgimiento; my investigation extends to the official dissolution, in 1981)
