German Wikipedia, viewed on April 6th, 2023 (Edouard Henri von Baumhauer ; born September 8th, 1820 in Brussels, died January 18th, 1885 in Haarlem ; he was a Dutch chemist and natural scientist ; he studied at the University of Utrecht ; his main field of work was chemistry, especially analytical chemistry ; he was a member of numerous scientific societies: since 1858 he was a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences (KNAW). In 1877 he was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society. In 1882 he was admitted as a member (matriculation no. 2348) of the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina, from 1864 to 1885 he was secretary of the Dutch Society of Sciences)
