Dr. Campbell received a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1959 and served in the Navy from 1959-1963. Following his military service, he received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1967. After serving as a medical missionary in Bolivia from 1968-1969, he returned to the United States and completed a Residency and Fellowship in Adult and Child Psychiatry at the University of Florida from 1969-1973. From 1973 to 1996, he was a practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist.
