Biography/History note | The Tenth Ngor Khenchen, Konchok Lhundrub; born at Sakya Monastery in 1497; the child's birth name was Lhago Dar (Lha-rgod-dar); At the age of thirteen, Konchok Pelwa (Dkon-mchog-ʼphel-ba, 1445-1514) ordained him as a novice vows at Ngor Evam Choden, and he was given the monastic name Konchok Lhundrub. He studied under Muchen Sanggye Rinchen, 1450-1524, Je Jetangpa, and Lhachok Sengge, 1468-1535; he also received extensive training from Jamyang Namkha Tenpa, Muchen Namkha Pelzang, and others.
