During the 1430s it became part of Poland. After the second partition of Poland in 1793 Dunaïvt︠s︡i, as part of Podilli︠a︡, was granted to Russia. Since the 18th cent. it has been known as Dunaïvt︠s︡i) Col.-Lipp., 1966 (Dunayevtsy; town S.
