Wikipedia, April 20, 2015 (Walther Sohm; born April 18, 1909 in Miesenbach; died November 19, 2001 in Bösendürnbach (bei Mühlbach am Manhartsberg); Sohm graduated in 1929 from the College of Education in the city of Wiener Neustadt; starting in 1930 he worked as a teacher in Waldviertel; in 1935 he was appointed head teacher and was subsequently head of the elementary school in Mühlbach am Manhartsberg; he retired in July 1972 as a school inspector; Sohm was involved in the cultural life of the Manhartsberg region; he was an advisor and archivist of the Waldviertler Heimatbundes and chairman of the Niederösterreichischen Joseph Misson-Bundes; Sohm published essays on Joseph Misson, local history, and dialectological studies; in 1986 he was awarded the title of Honorary Professor in recognition of his work; he is the author of : Joseph Misson und das Waldviertel, 1969; Das Misson-Geburtshaus wurde Misson-Gedenkstätte, 1975; Die Mundartdichtung in Niederösterreich, 1980; and Heimatbuch Mühlbach am Manhartsberg, 1989)
