Elected mayor of Louisville in 1941. President Truman appointed him housing expediter in the Office of War Mobilization and Reconversion in January 1946. Returned a year later from D.C. to Louisville where he founded the law firm of Wyatt and Grafton. In 1962 he ran for U.S. Senate but lost to Thruston B. Morton.) |
