Wikipedia, 16 Mar. 2015 (Elhanan Winchester; born 1751 in Brookline, Massachusetts, died 18 April 1797; one of the founders of the United States General Convention of Universalists, later the Universalist Church of America; he began preaching to the New Lights of the Congregationalist Church in his native Massachusetts as a youth; he soon joined the Baptists and at a revival meeting in 1771, he was ordained a Baptist minister in Rehoboth, Massachusetts; in 1794 he became moderator of the Massachusetts Universalist Convention; as an itinerant preacher, he grew increasingly troubled about slavery)
