Wikipedia, Spanish version, February 18, 2020 (Joaquín Sánchez de Toca; born Madrid, 24 September 1852; died Pozuelo de Alarcón, 13 July 1942; Spanish lawyer and politician, member of the Partido Conservador; studied law at the Université de Bordeaux and then Universidad Central de Madrid; elected deputy for the first time in 1884 by the Partido Conservador, for district of Mora de Rubielos (Teruel); appointed mayor of Madrid, 1896-1897, and again in 1907; in 1914 he was president of the Senate, and elected member of the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación; chaired the Real Academia de Ciencias Morales y Políticas, which he had been a part of since 1890; stayed away from political life during the Second Republic)
