Oxford DNB online, 16 June 2010 (Edwin Sandys, Archbishop of York, 1519?-1588; probably born in 1519: he believed himself to be sixty-three in 1582, while in 1588 Tobie Matthew, his successor but two as archbishop, reported that Sandys now claimed to be sixty-six and was reckoned by his own brother to be 'seventy at the most' [BL, Cotton MS Titus B vii, fols. 424-6])
