Dutch Wikipedia, viewed August 2nd, 2024 (Cornelius Schrevelius (born in Haarlem, baptized 13th April 1608, died in Leiden, buried August 1664) was a Dutch philologist. In 1620, he moved to Leiden. Cornelius studied medicine here and received his doctorate in medicine. From 1642 he succeeded his father as rector of the Leiden Latin School. He produced many (school) editions of classical Latin authors. He also edited the Colloquia of Erasmus (1655).)
