Returned to Harvard as a professor of geology in 1884 then became dean of Harvard's Lawrence Scientific School, a position he held for the rest of his life. Wrote geological studies, essays, and plays. Died April 10, 1906 on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.) |
