Born on August 4, 1788 at Soldier's Retreat in Jefferson County, Ky. Graduated from William and Mary College. Practiced law in Louisville, Ky. Served in the Kentucky House in 1815 and 1821 and was a Representative in the U.S. House 1817-1821. Was a delegate to the Panama Congress of Nations, but died en route in Turbaco [Columbia] on July 24, 1826.)
