MacDonald, Ph.D. is the Head of Research for MC Asset Management Holdings LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. Before joining MC Asset, Dr. MacDonald was a principal and the Head of Credit & Economic Research at Aladdin Capital Holdings (2000-2011) and prior to that served as the Chief Economist for KWR International, Director of Sovereign Research at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Sovereign Risk Analyst and Director at Credit Suisse, and an International Economic Advisor, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He has also been an adjunct professor of Political Science at the University of Connecticut, where he taught European Politics and Comparative Politics. Dr. MacDonald has authored, co-authored or edited 18 books, including nine with Praeger or Greenwood Press on international economic, financial and geo-political issues.
