In 1964, he attended Mal-und Zeichenschule "München Studio." After graduating, he worked as a freelance cartoonist for Moewig-Verlag. During this period he was co-founder of the Mandala artist group, which focused on future-oriented art. Also in 1968-1969, Michel Montecrossa's career as a singer and songwriter began with his first concerts in Munich and later in Europe and America. Since 1981, Michel Montecrossa has lived mainly in Mirapuri, which had now grown into an independent, democratically organized community. In 1986 he adopted his stage name Michel Montecrossa. From 1986 onwards, Montecrossa began film productions. By the beginning of the 21st century, he had written more than 2,000 songs and symphonic compositions, which he has performed in regular concerts (around 40 per year) since 1992.
