Second edition, 2003: volume 14, page 601 (Wadding, Luke; Franciscan historian and scholar of John Duns Scotus; born October 16, 1588, in Waterford, Ireland; died November 18, 1657, in Rome; in 1603, he entered the Irish College in Lisbon, Portugal; entered the Franciscan order in 1604 at Matozinhos; studied philosophy at Leiria and theology at Lisbon and at Coimbra; he was ordained to the priesthood at Vizeu, Portugal, in 1613; he then studied theology at Salamanca. In 1618 he went to Rome, where he developed a college for Irish Franciscans (St. Isidore))
