Appointed as the first principal of the McMicken School of Design in 1869 which in 1887 became the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Studied in Bavaria at the Munich Academy during a two year leave of absence 1881-1883. Retired in 1904 and died in New York City on April 27, 1907.) |
