The Kentucky encyclopedia, ©1992: page 394 ("Felix Grundy" was born in Berkeley County in what is now West Virginia on September 11, 1777; was a lawyer, member of Congress and U.S. attorney general; lived in Brownstown, Pennsylvania, Bardstown, Kentucky and Davidson County, Tennessee. Admitted to Kentucky bar in 1797; served in Kentucky General Assembly from 1802 to 1805; became a judge in the Kentucky Court of Appeals in 1806; elected to the U. S. House of Representatives in 1811 and 1813, until 1814. Served as Tennessee's representative from 1819 to 1825; served in U. S. Senate from October 19, 1829 to July 4, 1838 when he resigned to become attorney general until December 14, 1839. On that day he resumed his Senate seat. Died December 12, 1840.)
