It belonged to the crown estates of Poland until 1772 when it was annexed by Austria. Truskavets was under Polish rule until 1939 when it was annexed by the USSR. It was incorporated into the Ukrainian SSR in 1944. Truskavets is considered the most famous health resort in Ukraine)
