Then elected to U.S. Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Jesse Bledsoe, where he served from January 3, 1815 to March 3, 1819. Ran again for the seat resigned by William Logan, and served again in the U.S. Senate from October 19, 1820 to March 3, 1825. Returned to his law practice in Frankfort where he later died.) |
