Scanlon, Jennifer. American women historians, 1700s-1990s, 1996: page 148 (Deborah Norris Logan; born October 19, 1761 in Philadelphia. Heard the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence at age fourteen. Married and moved to Stenton, Pennsylvania. Found a series of old letters in the attic of the family farm where she lived between her husband's grandfather, James Logan, and William Penn. Presented the leters to the American Philosophical Society. Wrote a memoir of her husband's life after his death. Died February 2, 1839.)
