Au temps de L'Oeil cacodylate (blog), Cher Gaston, 28 mars 2007, viewed July 22, 2020 (Pawlowski; Gaston William Adam de Pawlowski; born 14 June 1874 in Joigny, Yonne; son of Albert de Pawlowski and Valérie de Tryon-Montalembert; docteur en droit 1901, Ecole des Sciences Politiques, thesis topic: Philosophie du travail; his Sociologie nationale : une définition de l'Etat was published in 1897; he was 20 years old [1894] when he began to collaborate with the weekly Le Rire, which became Le Rire rouge during the First World War; his "On se moque de nous" (Petite collection du Rire) was published in 1898, under the name W. de Pawlowski; in 1900 he presented himself as "préfacier" of an anonymous volume, Bono Dum-dum, Madam' bono, petites histoires d'outre-Manche; he repeated this exercise in 1904 for Les Dégringoleurs de Pantes (sic), pamphlet novel signed with the pseudonym Guy Patin d'Emery; editor in chief of Vélo and L'Opinion, he consolidated his journalist career in Comoedia (created 1 October 1907), newspaper which he edited until 1914; episodes of Voyage au Pays de la Quatrième Dimension appeared from 1908 in Comoedia, first published in 1912 under credit G. de Pawlowski; in 1911-1912 he published a series of 30 articles titled Aristote à Paris; prefaced André Warnod's Le vieux Montmartre in 1911; his Ma voiture de course was published in 1923; collaborated in Dictionnaire biographique des artistes contemporains (8 v., 1930-1936); died in his home in Paris 2 February 1933)
