Ignatius Camillus William Mary Peter Persico (30 January 1823, Naples - 7 December 1896) was an Italian Cardinal prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served with multiple assignments including as Vicar Apostolic, bishop, Apostolic delegate to Ireland, and Vicar of the Roman Colleges. Persico entered the Capuchin Franciscan Order on 25 April 1839, and immediately after ordination was sent in November, 1846, to Patna, India. In 1850 Persico was transferred to the Mumbai vicariate, and assisted in founding a seminary and establishing the "Bombay Catholic Examiner".
