A graduate of the Baptist Magoffin Institute and Georgetown College and an ordained minister for 52 years. Kazee served churches in Lexington and Morehead, Ky. and taught at Lexington Baptist College. Recorded at least 52 folk songs between 1926 and 1930. Wrote two books: one on religion and one on banjo techniques. Died in Winchester, Ky.)
