Oxford DNB online, 17 Jan. 2014 (Henry Austin Wilson, liturgical scholar; born in Ayr on 7 December 1854; in 1876 he was elected a fellow of Magdalen College, where he lived and worked for more than forty years; during this long span he held many of the offices of the college, occasionally as dean of divinity (he was ordained priest in 1880) and continuously as librarian from 1881; the principal activity of Wilson's life was scholarship, primarily in the history of the Western medieval liturgy; his efforts were most conspicuously exercised through the Henry Bradshaw Society for the Editing of Rare Liturgical Texts; this was founded in 1890, and Wilson was its honorary secretary from 1895 until his death; in 1919 he retired to his native Scotland, partly to help with an Anglican mission in Ayrshire, and died at Kilmarnock on 18 June 1927)
