Biography/History noteErrol Parker (1925-1998) was a French jazz pianist, organist, drummer, and bandleader. Born Raphael Schécroun (known as Raph or Ralph) in Oran, Algeria, he moved to Paris as a teen and began playing jazz piano. He changed his name in 1960, and moved to New York City in 1967, where he continued his career. He started the Sahara Records label and formed the Errol Parker Tentet.
