German Wikipedia, viewed December 18th, 2023 (Daniel Albert Wyttenbach, born August 7th, 1746 in Bern, died January 17th, 1820 in Oegstgeest) was a Swiss philologist. From 1799 to 1818 he was a professor at Leiden University. The Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences (then Koninklijk Instituut) accepted him as a full member in 1808.In 1811 he was elected a corresponding member of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and in 1814 a foreign member of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres.
