Stefan Grimm was a graduate student with Patrick Bäuerle and received his PhD in 1993, was postdoc with Philip Leder from 1995-1998, and Max Planck Group Leader at our institute from 1998 to 2004, working on genes affecting apoptosis. After his successful career at our institute he was appointed Professor of Toxicology at Imperial College London, where he continued his productive research with a focus on apoptosis signaling cascades and tumorigenesis.
