Wikipedia, 18 Aug. 2010 (Anna Notaras was the daughter of Loukas Notaras, the last Megas Doux of the Byzantine Empire; left Constantinople for Italy between 1440 and 1449; became the centre of the Byzantine expatriate community in Venice and established one of the first printing presses for Greeks books; the council of Siena referred to her as widow of the last Byzantine emperor, Constantine XI (1449-1453) but there is no contemporary evidence for this relationship)
