He studied in Rostock, Leipzig und Halle. He lectured in Rostock where he also obtained his doctorate on 6 Sep. 1725. In 1733 he was appointed professor for medicine and higher mathematics at the University of Rostock. He became district physician in 1750. In 1760 he moved to Bützow to take up the post of professor of medicine at Bützow University. He died in Bützow 9 Oct. 1784. He published varous works in Latin and German)
