Oct. 5, 1912 in Berlin. Physician and Major in the Waffen-SS. Defendant in the Medical Trial. Was member of NSDAP from May 1, 1937; joined the SS on Nov. 1, 1933; was active in the camp hospital of the Ravensbrück Women's Concentration Camp and was active accomplice in the surgical experiments carried out on the inmates there; was condemned to life imprisonment by the American Military Tribunal. Later his sentence was reduced to 15 years and he was released in March 1954).
